Get There Quickly

Leaving the big city doesn’t mean abandoning big transit. Two local airports and the Canadian national rail line mean you can get wherever you need to go quickly and affordably.

International & Local

While the St. Lawrence River of course rolls right through our entire region, we are also well connected to the outside world courtesy of first-rate airport and rail access. The Brockville 1000 Islands Tackaberry Regional Airport (BRX) offers a variety of services as well as private hangar leasing space, a flying club, and flying school. Ogdensburg Airport (OGS), just a few minutes across the border in Ogdensburg NY, features direct flights to Chicago, Washington, Orlando and more courtesy of carriers United and Allegiant. And, of course, the Ottawa International Airport (YOW) is less than a hour drive away from most of our region, and offers full service to cities across the globe.

Connected By Rail

Our local connection to the main CN railway line means that local residents can easily take a train to urban centres like Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and most points in-between. The Brockville Railway Station located in the centre of town has full VIA Rail passenger service and is open seven days a week for all of your ticketing inquiries.

Not Far Away

Toronto is readily accessible from Brockville thanks to VIA trains, with multiple departure times meaning that you can get to Union Station in just three hours. So whether you need to visit the big city for business or personal reasons, rest assured that you will always be able to get there on the train from your new home in the 1000 Islands & St. Lawrence River Region.
